Do you like zombies? Did you know they play softball? They do, and the El Paso Parks and Recreation Department wants you to come out and play softball with them this weekend.

Ok, so there won't really be zombies playing softball, but there will be a Zombie Softball Slam from this Friday, July 28 to Sunday, July 30. The Slam is part of the monthlong celebration of National Parks and Recreation month. The public is invited to participate in the Slam that will be happening at three separate sports complexes throughout the city. The tournament is an all-night affair and games start at 6:30 p.m. and will be played through 8:00 a.m. You can sign up for games at the Northeast Regional Park, 11270 McCombs, Blackie Chesher Park, 9143 Escobar, and Marty Robbins Park, 11600 Vista el Sol.

Champions will be crowned from teams in three divisions - men, women, and co-ed. The tournament entry fee is $200 per team.
