Believe it or not, back-to-school time is right around the corner. If you need after-school care for your kids, you'll want to check out the program available through the City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department.

Parks and Rec will begin registration on August 15 for the After School Program for the 2016-2017 school year. It costs $5 per week per child, and is offered at select elementary schools in the EPISD and YISD school districts for kids ages 5 through 12. The program starts September 6, and runs from school dismissal to 6 p.m. Kids will get a healthy, nutritious evening meal each day.

Kids will be in a safe and fun environment where they can do homework, play table games, take advantage of sports activities, arts and crafts, and more. The program is benefited through the support of the Braden Aboud Memorial Foundation.
