El Paso Mother Cries After Hearing 8-Year-Old Son’s Voice for First Time

A mother wept with joy after hearing the voice of her 8-year-old son for the first time in her life.

Today, El Pasoan Dawn Keim is enjoying the voice of her son after a genetic condition caused her to gradually lose her hearing more than 15 years ago. In November 2012, physicians from the TV talk show “The Doctors” offered Keim the chance to participate in a breakthrough procedure to restore her hearing after a decade of silence.

Keim travelled to Los Angeles for the procedure. Her entire story will air on “The Doctors” this Thursday.
