El Paso voters are going to choose a new mayor on May 11th, and 8 candidates are running for the spot.  This week, Mike and Tricia Mornings is getting to know them.

We're spending some time this week with each of the 8 candidates for El Paso Mayor.  You can hear the interviews with Robert Cormell, Oscar Leeser, Steve Ortega, Dean Martinez, and Jorge Artalejo on this post.  I will post the audio for the remaining three candidates, Hector Lopez, Jaime O. On Monday morning, Robert Cormell stopped by.  He is well known for his work mentoring teens at The Wayside Cafe, as well as for being the owner of 3 locations of The Bagel Shop around El Paso.

On Tuesday morning, we spoke with Hyundai of El Paso owner, Oscar Leeser.  He is the driving force behind getting the Hyundai Corporation to sponsor the Sun Bowl.

Wednesday morning, City Rep. Steve Ortega stopped by the Mike and Tricia studios:

Thursday morning, we spoke to Dean Martinez and Jorge Artalejo.  First up, Dean Martinez:
