El Paso High School is offering tours of its underground tunnels to raise money for the first ever museum and alumni center.

I graduated from El Paso High School and that building has a special place in my heart but the truth is that the school is haunted. It’s cold in some areas, you can hear voices at other times and it’s just simply creepy and then of course there’s the tunnels.

El Paso High School is the oldest high school in the city and it also holds the title as the Most Haunted High School in America and now the school is hoping to incorporate its tunnel tours to help raise money to build the first ever free standing museum and alumni center of its kind on the school grounds. Over the years alumni have collected precious artifacts including photographs and clothing that need to be conserved properly in order to preserve these irreplaceable items.

The tour lasts about 30 – 45 minutes and it navigates you through the tunnels underneath the school all the while you’re being told the history of the school and that includes the legendary ghost stories that have been reported and documented. To this day still, even though I have been privy to such stories in the past and know them well, they still give me the creeps.

Whether you’re a historian, curious or just love all that is eerie, don’t miss the next tunnel tour – it’ll be worth your time.

The goal is to raise $200,000 and hopefully with the addition of these tunnel tours it will help raise funds for the future museum and alumni center at El Paso High.
