This year is a return to spooky and fun in-person Halloween events in El Paso, among them is Boo at the Zoo.

The El Paso Zoo will be hosting its popular Halloween celebration on Saturday and Sunday October 23-24.

For two fun-filled afternoons, the zoo will once again transform into the wildest trick-or-treat spot in town.

The plan is a return to the slightly spooky family fun Boo at the Zoo is known and loved for, but with some COVID-19 precautions in place. The candy stations, for example, will use a candy chute to follow social distancing guidelines.

Some activities will look different in order to ensure the safety of staff and zoo visitors, but all the things kids love about Boo at the Zoo are still happening.

Those include pumpkin decorating, and going on a fun trick-or-treating adventure collecting sweet treats at the multiple candy stations scattered throughout the zoo.

In addition to all the Halloween activities going on, the Wild Encounters show in the Wildlife Amphitheater will also be going on, and the zoo's family attractions such as the splash pad, Tree House Playground, and the Endangered Species Carousel will be available for the little ghouls and goblins to ride, jump, and play in.
