El Pasoans Fighting Hunger food bank says they need your help in replenishing their supplies because of a record number of people they helped in June. The food bank distributed 922,159 pounds of food to needy El Pasoans in June, and now, they need to restock their shelves.

132,000 needy El Pasoans, including 77,000 children, are in need of help from the food bank according to a 2013 report. No one should go hungry, and because there are people who are in dire need of help, the food bank is turning to the public.

It might seem like a huge amount of food that needs to be raised, but whatever you can do to help is welcomed. The food bank is looking for things like:

Powdered Milk
Canned Meats - like tuna and chicken
Canned Fruit & Vegetables
Soups
Peanut Butter & Jelly

If you don't have time to donate food, you can donate money as well. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated.
