Keep your eyes out for El Paso Firefighters and their boots at various intersections across the city as they collect money for Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

According the El Paso Fire Department, over $590,000 has been raised by firefighters in pursuit of finding a cure for MDA. Muscular Dystrophy is a debilitating disease that limits and weakens muscle mass. These donations provide more research and state of the art facilities including a chance for children suffering from muscular dystrophy to attend the MDA Summer Camp at no cost to their families.

On Wednesday afternoon we noticed that the El Paso Fire Department had their boots out collecting money on the corner of Mesa Street and Executive right by the KISS Studios so we decided to take them some ice-cream and spotlight a great cause at the same time.

Thank you to the El Paso Fire Department for being such great sports and if you see them at an intersection, empty out your coin stash and help raise money for MDA.
