Whole Enchilada Fiesta – A three-day celebration of southern New Mexico’s traditions, people and food centered around the making of the largest enchilada around. Activities, craft booths, carnival rides, car show, parade, and live entertainment including Bri Bagwell at 7:45 p.m. and Josh Grider at 9:30 p.m. Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 600 E. El Paso Comic Con – The 4th annual comic book and sci-fi festival welcomes Michael Rooker, who plays Merle on “The Walking Dead” and DC/Marvel artist Greg Horn as this year’s guests of honor. 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the El Paso Coliseum. Admission prices vary. More Details

Noche Mexicana 2013 – The Ballet Folkorico Tonatiuh performs at the annual event. Dances from various regions of Mexico are showcased accompanied by live music. 7 p.m. at the Chamizal National Memorial, 800 S. San Marcial. $10 Admission. 478-0141

La Union Maze – The 13 acre cornfield features a farm animal corral, cow train and other family activities, plus tractor-pulled wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, and “the best maze in the area”. 5 to 10 p.m. at 1101 Highway 28 in La Union, N.M., next to Zin Valle Winery. Friday at the Fire – Live music by local bands set against the ambiance of the Freedom Crossing outdoor fireplace. 6- 11 p.m. Free. This week, Mainstreet. DJ Darrin kicks the night off at 6 p.m.

Downtown Ghost Tour – El Paso Ghost Tours will take you inside downtown’s most haunted and historical buildings and conduct full paranormal investigations. Two walking tours, 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Meet at Leo’s Mexican Restaurant, 315 E Mills Ave. Tickets are $15 online and $20 at the door, discounts available. More Details

Movies in the Canyon – Blockbuster movies shown on an inflatable screen in the picturesque McKelligon Canyon Amphitheater. Showtime 8:30 p.m. Free admission, concessions available (no food or beverages may be brought in). Tonight’s movie is Stuart Little. More Details

SATURDAY:

Sun City Craft Beer Fest – Dozens of national craft breweries will showcase their brews and hundreds of beers will be available to taste at the inaugural event. Expert demonstrations, live music, food trucks, and the largest beer pong game will also part of the festivities. 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Cleveland Square Park downtown next to Museum of History, 510 N.
