Here’s what’s going on in and around El Paso this weekend, March 15 – March 18. Some events are free, some will cost you a few bucks.

FRIDAY - SATURDAY:

Sunland Winery Spring Wine Art Market and St. Patrick’s Day Celebration – Smooth jazz on the patio, and smooth wine along with painting and tasting classes, and a local arts market. 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Sunland Winery, 1709 Victory Lane, Sunland Park, NM. SATURDAY:

Downtown Kidspalooza - The all-day family event features children’s concerts, games, painting, “Make & Take” craft workshops, and a special appearance by “Sesame Street” superstar Elmo. Free transportation to a variety of educational stops throughout the downtown area. 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Arts Festival Plaza, next door to the Plaza Theatre. Most activities are free. El Paso Opera Presents ‘The Barber of Seville’ - El Paso Opera closes its season with Rossini’s comic opera. 7:30 p.m. at Abraham Chavez Theatre. Tickets: $40, $55, $70, $85 and $90. More Details

Downtown El Paso Ghost Tour - Walk the streets of haunted downtown El Paso and hear stories of things that go bump in the night, learn about the downtown buildings, and see the deadliest intersection of the Old West. Meet between History Museum and Main Library by 8:30 p.m. Admission: $10, proceeds to benefit the restoration and preservation of Concordia Cemetery. 408-7461

SATURDAY – SUNDAY:

St. Paddy's Day Weekend Festival @ Freedom Crossing – The St. Patrick’s Day Street Festival will be held on the promenade area outside of Shamrocks Irish Pub at Freedom Crossing. Enjoy live music from local bands and musicians, authentic Irish bagpipes, and Irish food. Activities will include face painting, leprechaun characters, and Irish hat and bead necklace giveaways. Noon to midnight Saturday, and noon to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. More Details

Las Cruces Arts Fair — Doña Ana Arts Council’s 3rd annual regional juried fine arts event featuring over 100 award winning artists from around the country in fabric and weaving, glass, jewelry, leather, metalwork, mixed media painting and drawing, photography, porcelain, and pottery, sculpture and wood, plus continuous artists demonstrations, and children’s art activities.

10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Las Cruces Convention Center, 680 University. Admission: $6, free for age 12 and younger. (575) 523-6403

SUNDAY:

Gloria Trevi and Ana Barbara - Mexican divas Gloria Trevi and Ana Barbara perform at the Socorro Entertainment Center, 11200 Santos Sanchez off Socorro Road, 4.5 miles southeast of Loop 375. Ages 18 and older welcome. Admission is free

EPSYO and EPSO ‘Side-by-Side’ Concert - More than 350 performers from El Paso Symphony Youth Orchestras and El Paso Symphony Orchestra combine forces at the 6th annual Side-by-Side performance. 3 p.m. at the Plaza Theatre, in conjunction with Downtown KidsPalooza. Tickets: $10-$32. More Details
