If you have an artistic bent and want to beautify your garbage bin, the City of El Paso Environmental Services Department wants you to listen up. They are holding their Trash Bin Art contest again this year. It is part of their Earth Day celebration.

The contest lets El Pasoans create an Earth Day-themed art masterpiece on the trash gray bins we fill with trash. The contest is free to enter and is open to all El Paso area adults who are 18 and older. If you want to take part in the Trash Bin Art contest, you need to submit your artwork renderings and a registration packet by Friday, March 3.

From the submissions, the Environmental Services Department will select five contestants. Those selected candidates will be given paint and supplies as well as a trash bin to decorate. All five contestants will be recognized and the top three contestants will get trophies at the ESD Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 22, at the Municipal Services Center at 7969 San Paulo.
