There is nothing worse than going along with your day, jumping in your car expecting to get to your destination within the normal amount of time it usually takes you to get there, and then running smack dab into a section of road with orange construction barrels. Suddenly, the drive that normally takes you 15 minutes, becomes a 45 minute ordeal! Well, there is going to be a stretch of I-10 that will be exactly that headache for you today.

TxDOT officials put out a press release this morning to let drivers know that the two right lanes on I-10 westbound between the Geronimo Overpass and the Paisano Overpass will be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, January 29.

Crews will be putting up concrete barriers. No word on why concrete barriers are going to be put up on that stretch of the freeway. After the barriers are up, the lanes will open back up, and only the right right shoulder will be closed.

There is going to be a lot of construction going on all over town for the foreseeable future, so we'll keep you posted on any closures so you won't have to keep a bottle of Aleve in your car!
