The visit to Juarez by Pope Francis gets closer and closer, and now, the El Paso Diocese has opened a Command Center that will make things a lot easier for local and out-of-towners to get information about the visit and the El Paso celebrations.

The Command Center is open daily from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. The phone number is (915) 872-7475.

The Diocese has announced that the Pope will be able to see the celebration of his visit at the Sun Bowl via a two-way telecast while he holds mass in Juarez. The Pope is expected to offer a special message to those gathered at the Sun Bowl. Tickets to the Sun Bowl celebration will be available for $10 until February 8th.

You have a couple of ways to buy tickets to the Sun Bowl celebration:

1) Parishes throughout the city of El Paso will have Sun Bowl tickets for sale. Please visit your local El Paso parish to purchase either individual or group tickets with cash or check.
2) Parishioners can purchase discounted tickets through the University Ticket Center located at 2901 N. Mesa, El Paso, TX or by calling (915) 747-5234.

A table will be set up before and after masses on Saturday and Sunday so parishioners can buy them when they attend mass. Cash and checks will be accepted. There is financial assistance available for any parishioners who cannot afford the discounted tickets.

You can also get tickets Ticketmaster, but they are $15, plus additional service fees.
