Kids grow up so quickly that another school year usually means a whole new wardrobe, and that can get pricey real quick. Well, if your child attends a school where school uniforms are required, the Horizon City Lions Club might be able to make back-to-school a little less expensive.

The service organization will be holding their annual community wide school uniform swap.

The swap is scheduled for Saturday, July 26th, 2014 at Eastlake High School,13000 Emerald Pass Ave, and is open to all districts and schools not just Horizon City. Swap day will begin at 8 a.m. and end at approximately 12 noon.

El Pasoans who have clean, gently-used school uniforms their children have out grown are encouraged to drop them off at National Self Storage places, Laundry USA on North Carolina, Rocky Mountain Radar on Doniphan, Xtreme Core Fitness in Horizon City, and Immunize El Paso on the East Side.

In exchange, you’ll receive a credit slip you can exchange for an equal number of pieces on the 16th. (If you don't have a need for recycled uniforms, you can simply donate outgrown uniforms to the program for other children to use.)
