El Paso City Worker Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle While Working

Code Compliance Officer Robert Narro died Thursday morning, July 17, as a result of injuries he sustained after being struck by a vehicle on July 2nd. Narro was standing on a sidewalk in the Lower Valley next to his work truck when Rosendo Alvarado allegedly drove onto the sidewalk and struck him.

Alvarado tried to flee the scene, but was apprehended by police shortly after. He was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Jail.

Mr. Narro had been a Code Compliance Officer since March 2012.
