The traditional sounds of mariachi music will fill the air of downtown El Paso on Cinco de Mayo with the return of the Mariachi Loco Music Festival to the San Jacinto Plaza.

The festival, which celebrates the mariachi culture and tradition of our border region, will spotlight several local mariachi troupes and dance groups, as well as a variety of regional foods and beverages.

Unlike previous years, this year's celebration is only one day not three. Another noticeable difference is the headliner. Instead of a well-known mariachi or Ranchera artist, renowned corrido band Los Cuates de Sinaloa will top off the night.
