In just nine days, the El Paso Chihuahuas will begin the defense of their Pacific Coast League title. Before their April 6th home opener, the team treated the media to a sneak preview of their 2017 new menu items at Southwest University Park. Pictured above is the Championship Burrito, a three-pound behemoth featuring your choice of chicken, brisket, or picadillo with beans and topped with cheese sauce and pico de gallo. In the background are their loaded tater tots, but here is a better look.

The team will be welcoming Steve Garvey to town next Wednesday to headline their Championship Dinner at the Judson F. Williams Convention Center. Tickets are available for purchase online or by calling 915-533-BASE. Garvey joined us on Sportstalk yesterday to talk about coming back to El Paso for the Chihuahuas Championship Dinner and shared his memories of playing at Dudley Field.
