Major League Baseball veteran Jeff Francoeur recently became a member of the El Paso Chihuahuas, and the players welcomed him by making him believe for an entire month  that teammate Jorge Reyes was deaf.

Everyone was in on it, from the coaching staff to the trainers to Reyes’ wife. And they went to great lengths to convince him Reyes was hearing impaired.  “Even in the heat of the game, in the dugout, in between inning,” team manager Pat Murphy revealed, “we…maintained that George Reyes [was] deaf.”

While many who have viewed the video thought it was funny, others were a bit put off with the team using a disability for a prank. Watch the big reveal and Francoeur’s reaction above, and let me know in the comment section below if you found it funny or tasteless.
