The El Paso Police Department is sharing this photo of a guy they say stole a victim's smartphone. They hope someone will provide the name of the thief who helped himself to the cellie after the man he robbed outside a convenience store on Airway just off I-10 didn't have any cash on him.

The El Paso Times reports when the suspect tried to access the phone, its security app snapped a selfie of the suspect and sent it to the victim.

I love when criminals get caught because they steal technology they're not aware of or don't understand.
