Who doesn’t love a good ‘ol water balloon fight? This weekend, El Paso will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Water Balloon fight in the world at Wet-n-Wild Waterworld on Friday, August 19, 2016.

In order the achieve recognition from the folks at the Guinness World Records, El Paso must have over 9,000 attendees at one time to claim the status of the Largest Water Balloon fight on record.

The Water Balloon Fight will take place this Friday, August 19, 2016 at Wet-n-Wild Waterworld. This is all ages and family friendly event will share a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Cancer Research Center, the Homeless and Women’s Shelter and the El Paso Children’s Hospital.

This is chance to get El Paso on the map for the World’s Largest Water Balloon fight ever and remember they need 9,000 people in attendance to achieve the title of world’s best.

The Guinness World Record for Largest Water Balloon Fight was last set in 2011 by the University of Kentucky with 8,957 participants and used 175,141 water balloons.
