El Paso Animal Services’ ‘We like Big Mutts’ Video Is Too Cute
The city of El Paso's Animal Services Department wants El Pasoans to think big when adopting a dog, so they’re having a “I Like Big Mutts” adoption event this week.
And to help motivate large-breed adoptions, the shelter produced a really cute video set to the tune of the classic Sir Mix-a-lot rap song, “I Like Big Butts”.
The clip, which you can watch below, features playful, cuddly canines and lyrics celebrating large dogs.
We Like Big MuttsWe like big mutts, and we cannot lie! (You're gonna want to turn the sound on for this 🔊)
That’s why we are reducing adoptions to FREE for the first 90 big pups (20+ lbs) adopted, and just $10 thereafter starting Saturday, April 14 through Sunday, April 22. Come find your new big mutt!

Statistically, shelters have a harder time placing large dogs, which make up the majority of its pet population. So to encourage adoptions of big dogs, Animal Services is offering free adoptions through Sunday, April 22, 2018 for all large-breed dogs over 20 pounds for the first ninety. After that number has been reached, large dog adoptions will be just $10.
And to sweeten the deal even more, each adoption includes the animal’s spay/neuter procedure, microchip, city license, and any necessary vaccines, per the event post.
