Construction On Montwood In East El Paso Continues

If you have to get anywhere near Montwood Drive between McRae Boulevard and Yarbrough, you know what an absolute nightmare traffic is in that part of town. Construction on Montwood to try and fix what was a really bad stretch of road has been going on for a year, and it won’t be finished for another year. This week, all traffic will switch from one side of the street to the other.

Starting today, Wednesday, January 22, traffic will shift to the eastbound lanes of Montwood until construction is finished sometime at the end of this year or early next year. Make sure you follow the marked detours and don’t cut through residential neighborhoods around the construction zone because the EPPD is out and about and waiting to ticket you for doing that.

Also, your prayers to the traffic gods for a speedy construction completion would be greatly appreciated by those of us who have to use Montwood!
