‘Dumb and Dumber’ Movie Sequel Trailer Includes El Paso Scene
The promotional trailer for the sequel to the Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels classic “Dumb and Dumber” has been released and it includes a snippet of Carrey standing in the San Jacinto Plaza. Well, sort of.
Although a movie crew filmed some scenes with stand-ins on Santa Fe Street, the Marietta Square in Marietta, Georgia was used as a substitute for our downtown. According to the Marietta Daily Journal, the production company “styled [the square] as El Paso,” but if this photo is any indication, they weren’t going for an exact replica.
“Dumb and Dumber To” is set twenty years after Harry and Lloyd’s last adventure, and revolves around “the good-hearted yet dimwitted best friends searching for Harry’s long lost daughter in the hope of gaining a new kidney.” There’s no word on what kind of mayhem Lloyd and Harry unleash on pseudo-El Paso, but based on some photos I’ve uncovered, it appears to involve a Zamboni — you know, because you see those on our streets all the time.
The sequel will be in theaters beginning this November. Until then, you wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world?
