Drone Captures Amazing Video of Haboob Rolling Through Las Cruces

A haboob swept over Las Cruces Saturday evening (6/24), sending a blinding wall of dust racing through the city.

At about the same time high in the sky, a drone piloted by Robert Paquette of Las Cruces captured an incredible view of the sand storm. “I caught one sneaking up on me,” Paquette wrote on Facebook, referring to the haboob he unexpectedly filmed by being in the right place at the right time.
