Crews are working on installing flood control measures that have been desperately needed for decades, but all that work requires occasionally closing off heavily travelled streets. The lasted to be slated for closure is Wedgewood near Montwood. You’ll have to go around that area for 2 months. Hooray.

Wedgewood will be closed immediately north of Montwood beginning on Monday, October 27, 2014. There will be detours marked that will take you onto Montwood, McRae, and Album. Traffic on Montwood will not be impacted.

If you use the bus, here are the changes you need to know about:

SUN METRO DETOURS:

Buses traveling inbound, south on Wedgewood, will turn right onto Honolulu, right onto Ceylon, left onto Bermuda, right onto McRae, left onto Glengarry, left onto Berwick, right onto McRae, left onto Montwood, right onto Wedgewood returning to the regular route.
