The El Paso Streetcar Project is rolling along, and beginning today, and for the next couple of months, there will be new road closures along the almost 5 mile streetcar route. These are just some of the closures and dates they will happen. To keep up on the entire project, and the road closures that will be taking place all summer, check out the El Paso Streetcar Facebook page.

Kansas Street will be closed to all traffic between Paisano and Father Rahm beginning today (May 16) and lasting through mid-August. If you need to use Kansas to access Loop 375, try Mesa or Park Street as alternate routes.

Stanton will also be closed from Rim Road to Cliff Drive. Crosby will be closed to thru traffic from Mesa to Kansas. Lane restrictions will be in place on Schuster between Mesa and Kansas.

The closures will move north as work is completed, and will involve intersections of Stanton including Hague, University, Boston and Baltimore.

Track work on Oregon between Glory Road and University Avenue will mean traffic on Oregon will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Glory Road and University Avenue. University Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction at Oregon Street. Robinson Avenue and Cincinnati Avenue will be closed to east-west traffic at Oregon Street, and those closures will last through mid-August.

There will be a two- to three-week complete closure of Oregon Street near the Glory Road Transfer Center over the summer for concrete work.

We'll keep you up-to-date on new road closures as they happen during this project.
