The nights around downtown El Paso will be a whole lot brighter through Christmas now that the downtown Christmas tree in San Jacinto Plaza has been officially lit. Led by ABC-7's Estela Casas, the crowd counted down from 3 to 1 signaling Mayor John Cook and two children from Candlelighters of El Paso to flip the switch on the ten thousand plus lights that decorated the 54-foot tree Saturday night.

If you happened to take any photos of this year's Christmas tree lighting ceremony, Celebration of Lights parade, and/or the fireworks display that followed, we'd love to see them. Feel free to post them on the 93.1 KISS-FM Facebook Wall.
