The Dona Ana County “Cat Library” that allows county employees to 'check out' an adorable kitty cat to spend an hour or so with them at their desk was featured on CBS over the weekend.

The Kitty Kondo Project, which was featured on the "CBS Evening News" on Friday and again on "CBS Sunday Morning," caught the network's attention after an office intern posted a pic on a social media site last week that quickly went viral.

According to the Las Cruces Sun-News, the project was started in May 2012 to provide easier access to adoptable pets for residents and to avoid euthanizing healthy animals. The program has "adopted out about 100 tenants of the Kitty Kondo" since its inception.
