It's 1987 and you’re at the Electric Q in Juarez. Chances are you’re hearing the ♫ unk. unk unk, unkunk♫ of “American-Soviets” by C.C.C.P., probably before or after “Situation” by Yaz. If you're hearing the song on the radio , then you're probably listening to a Charles "Cuttin' Up" Chavez or Juan "the Wonderous" Rojas mix on Power 102.  Good times, man, good times.

 "American/Soviets", by the German electronica band C.C.C.P., was a song about an imaginary chess competition between Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev. The band never had another hit, but the one they did have in them - as far as I"m concerned - is a classic ....
