DEA Seeks Local Man Suspected of Leading Cocaine Ring
Federal agents are searching for a local man who is suspected for leading a family run drug ring in the El Paso/Las Cruces area.
Joel Ibarra Torres, a Mexican citizen is a fugitive after seven people have been arrested in the family organized drug ring. Torres' son and daughter were included in the seven arrests made Friday morning in Sunland Park, New Mexico.
Joel Ibarra Jr., 21, of Sunland Park, and Noemi Ibarra, 23, of Las Cruces, were arrested on federal charges of drug and money laundering conspiracy, cocaine possession and using a telephone in furtherance of drug trafficking.
Now the search is one for their father Joel Ibarra Torres as leader of this drug ring. He is a Mexican citizen with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on Joel Ibarra Torres may call the DEA office in El Paso at 832-6000.
