Woo-hoo, we get an extra hour this weekend! Yes, Daylight Saving Time (DST) ends at 2:00 AM this Sunday, November 2.

That means this Saturday before going to bed, or upon awakening on Sunday, you turn your clocks back an hour – any clock that doesn’t automatically do it for you, that is, like the one on your microwave or car dash, for example.

And while “falling back” will result in the mythical extra hour of sleep we all so desperately need, the end of DST also means that if you head home from work in the late afternoon or pick up your kid(s) from some kind of after school activity, you’ll soon be doing it in the dark, because turning the clock back an hour also means less daylight in the afternoon. Sorry for being such a buzzkill.
