David Bowie’s Letter to New Mexico Resurfaces After His Death – Do You Know The Bowie Fan?

After the tragic news of legendary singer, David Bowie's death, a letter he sent to his first "American Fan", a 14-year-old resurfaced on social media.

The letter was dated September 25, 1967 and was tweeted out by a professor from London. She wrote to Bowie stating that she loved him so much that she wanted to start a fan club in America just for him and he responded with a sweet letter. He responded with great enthusiasm of one day coming to America.

The young fan now would be in her 70's, and I can only wonder if she is still in New Mexico? What happened to "Bowie's First American Fan"?

Bowie died on Sunday evening after he succumbed to liver cancer. He battled the cancer for 18 months. Bowie was 69.
