‘Dancing With The Stars’ Winner J.R. Martinez Talks With Mike And Tricia This Morning

We're big fans of 'Dancing With The Stars' here at Mike and Tricia Mornings, and you know we love our troops - so we're doubly excited that season 13 'Dancing' winner and retired soldier, J.R. Martinez will be joining us in the 8 o'clock hour!

For those of you who don't know J.R.'s story, he joined the Army in 2002 and was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division.  In 2003, he was less than a month into his first deployment in Iraq when the Humvee he was in hit a landmine.  He was trapped inside and suffered severe burns over 34 percent of his body.

While his injuries were life-changing, they didn't stop J.R.!  He went on to star for 3 years on 'All My Children', win 'Dancing With The Stars', and become a highly sought after motivational speaker.  We will hear more from J.R. this morning around 8:10 this morning, and you can see and hear J.R. this weekend when the International Museum of Art presents An Evening With J.R. Martinez, tomorrow at the Camino Real Hotel.
