As I was surfing the 'net catching up on some of the local news, I came across the story of the $50,000 U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents found hidden in a box of laundry detergent in a car attempting to cross the Bridge of the Americas. (Aha! I knew there was a reason they called that money laundering!)

The news report went on to state that people are allowed to carry any amount of money in or out of the United States, but if it's over $10,000 it has to be declared. (Note to self: if I ever have to illegally cross the border with 50 grand, make sure to put $9,999 in my box of soap and then  cross back and forth five times.)

But the best part of this whole story is the above photo that accompanied the article. Can't Customs afford to buy a stand to place its logo on? Or is it some poor dude's job to hide behind it to hold it up every time they make a bust. And if that's the case, does anyone know if Customs is hiring sign holders? I could use a few extra bucks to buy presents with. Plus, I'm really good at hiding behind things I hold up!
