Beginning on Monday, May 2, the City of El Paso will initiate paving of an alley and streets in downtown El Paso.

As El Paso continues to grow we are seeing more and more construction all over town, including the downtown area of the city. Part of the City of El Paso’s plan to improve air quality and reduce particulate matter, a regulated air pollutant, will begin to pave an alley and street segments in the downtown area. The affected areas will be the alley located behind Texas Avenue between Ochoa and Ange streets with paving taking place along the section of N. Virginia Street between Texas and Mills Avenue. The project will be conducted in phases and should be completed within six weeks.

Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place to direct traffic through the affected areas while the work is in progress.
