The University of Texas at El Paso is getting ready to host its 133rd Commencement ceremonies this Saturday.

More than 2,270 fall candidates and summer graduates will be participating in UTEP’s Fall Commencement exercises, serving as one of the final events of the Centennial celebration.

The ceremonies will celebrate the commitment, hard work and efforts all graduating students poured into their work while at the University.

As with past ceremonies, lively multitudes of friends and family will fill the Don Haskins Center to share the celebration of their graduate’s accomplishments.

For those who are unable to attend in person, UTEP will stream all three Commencement ceremonies live. They can be viewed on home computers, laptops, mobile devices and tablets by visiting www.utep.edu.

Parking Guidelines

General parking will be available north of the Don Haskins center off Sun Bowl Drive and north of the Sun Bowl Stadium and Kidd Field. ADA parking areas will be available in the parking lots immediately north of the building.

Due to large crowds and traffic, University officials recommend guests arrive at least one hour early to avoid traffic, get a good parking space and get a good seat. Well-wishers with disabilities may find it easier to access the Haskins Center through its north and east entrances. Do not park in any reserved parking areas.

Motorists are asked to drive cautiously around the Haskins Center and be mindful of pedestrians. Additionally, drivers are advised to arrive via Sun Bowl Drive and to avoid North Mesa and Oregon Street.

Families are asked not to bring items including banners, balloons, noisemakers, strollers and tripods to the center.
