Summer is just around the corner and nothing beats the heat like a dip in a pool to cool off.

The City of El Paso will conduct maintenance on some pool across the city to get ready for summer swimming season.

Three of El Paso’s indoor pools will close for one week each so crews can get the pools ready for kids and families to enjoy this summer.

Armijo Pool, 911 S. Ochoa Street:

Closed for maintenance beginning Monday, March 16, 2015, reopening on

Saturday, March 21, 2015. Work includes maintenance on the slide and zero entry depth pool.

Memorial Pool, 3251 Copper Avenue:

Closed for maintenance beginning Sunday, April 26, 2015 and reopening on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Work includes repair of twelve pool lights and acid washing the pool.

Marty Robbins Pool, 11600 Vista del Sol:

Closed for maintenance Sunday, May 3, 2015 and reopening on Sunday, May 10, 2015. Work includes replacement of sand filter, pump and motor, and acid washing the pool.

The City of El Paso operates 14 aquatic centers, ten of which are indoor and open year round. The four outdoor aquatic centers are open from Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.

While these three pools close for upkeep you can check out this list of other city pools which will be open during the temporary closures.

General admission is $2 for adults (18- to 59-years old), $1 for youth (0 to 17 yrs. old), and $1 for seniors (60 yrs. old and up).
