If you are 18 or older and don't have insurance or are on Medicaid, you need to check out the Vaccinations for Health program from the El Paso Fire Department and the Department of Public Health.

The program gives free flu vaccinations to residents of El Paso and Hudspeth counties who are 18 and older who don’t have medical insurance or Medicaid. There are also free blood pressure and glucose screenings to patients 18 and older. Residents 65 and older can get free pneumonia vaccinations as well.

80,000 people died in the U.S. last flu season, and it was the highest number of deaths from the flu in forty years. The CDC says everyone ages 6 months and older should get either the flu shot or nasal spray. You can click here for a link to the Texas Vaccines for Children program that offers no-cost vaccines to eligible children 18 years old and younger.

These are the El Paso area clinic dates in October and November for the Vaccinations for Health program for El Pasoans 18 years and older.
