The City of El Paso is hosting its annual ‘Thanksgiving Celebration’ for the homeless and those less fortunate, and it is asking for your help to ensure there is enough food for everyone.

Donations of the following items can be dropped off at the Rescue Mission of El Paso, 1949 West Paisano, or the Salvation Army at 4300 East Paisano:

• Turkey
• Stuffing
• Corn
• Green Beans
• Peas
• Carrots
• Boxed mashed potatoes
• Cranberry Sauce
• Plastic Utensils
• Plates
• Cups
• Seasonings
• Sugar
• Coffee
• Corn Starch
• Assorted Can Goods

If you are unable to donate food items, cash contributions will also be accepted.

The free Thanksgiving Day meals will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at the Judson F. Williams Convention Center, Downtown. Sun Metro will be providing free bus rides to everyone all day to make certain those in need have a way to get there.
