Mom, I'm bored. How many times do you hear that during the summer from your teenager? If you have a bored teen on your hands, tell them to check out the Late Night Hoops Basketball League. The league starts up Friday, June 19th, at nine recreation centers around the city. Games will be played from 9:00 p.m. to midnight on Fridays through August 14th.

The Parks and Recreation Department supervises the league for 12- to 17-year-olds. Each player is guaranteed a minimum of eight games, and you don't have to be LeBron James to play. Players who participate in at least 3 games will get a t-shirt at the end of the season. Volunteer coaches are also needed.
