If you can’t get enough classic movies, check out ‘The Sun Also Rises’ with Ava Garnder, Tyrone Power, and Errol Flynn this weekend at the International Museum of Art.

The El Paso Pro-Musica Chamber Music Festival is sponsoring the movie along with the Sunset Film Society. The film deals with the unrest prior to the Spanish Civil War and what was to come with WWII.
In addition to the free screening, there will also be a film talk. The Museum will be providing concessions including popcorn and other treats for $1.00!

Grammy award winning composer Michael Daugherty was inspired to create a cello concerto for Zuill Bailey, world renowned cellist and Artistic Director of El Paso Pro-Musica, because of the book the movie is based on.

The El Paso Symphony Orchestra will perform the concerto today and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Plaza Theater. You can get tickets by calling 532-3776.
