Celebrate Dad at Cool Canyon Nights with an Ooh La La Dance Party

Father’s Day isn't until Sunday, June 18, but that doesn't mean you can’t honor thy father a few days earlier. Spend some quality time with the man who was there for you every other weekend per the Standard Possession Order this Thursday at Cool Canyon Nights.

This Thursday, June 15, Ooh La La will be playing all the hip-shaking variety you can handle -- from disco to soul to rock. If your dad can dance to it they play it.

Cool Canyon Nights is a free family-friendly weekly concert series that takes place in the McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre every Thursday evening through the end of July, and features many of the most popular local bands and music acts.

The fun starts at 6 p.m. with free live music on the patio from Raymon Arreola, plus beer, cocktails, and food trucks in the cool shade of the McKelligon Canyon Amphitheater. Ooh La La hits the main stage at approximately 7 p.m.

If you love the music of Selena and Juan Gabriel then plan on attending Cool Canyon Nights on June 22 for a tribute to El Divo de Juarez and The Queen of Tejano Music.

The month of July kicks off with fire and ice. No, that’s not a weather report. That’s a Pat Benatar tribute show. July also brings the heat and the wind – Windy City, that is.

El Paso's own Chicago tribute band will be filling the canyon with the sounds of the greatest rock and roll horn band of all time on July 20. July 27 disco down to the groovy sounds of the band that put the fun in funk and the oogie in boogie. Fungi Mungle will be whipping up the usual Frenzy of Fun® to close out the season.

Admission is free on a first-come first-served basis, but if you don't want to take on a chance of not getting a seat, or having to sit apart from those you came with, consider purchasing VIP seating.

For $20 a person plus taxes and fees, you get access to the VIP lounge, complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a beverage, and a guaranteed seat inside of the amphitheater. VIP seating is limited and on sale HERE.
