The Child Crisis Center is one of the charities we help with Mike and Tricia's Easter Basket Drive, so we know how hard they work to keep abused and neglected children safe. They also work hard to reunite families that have had difficulties, and the work they do is so important to El Paso families. It takes a lot of money to keep the Child Crisis Center open - about $180 a day per child. That's why they are holding a fundraiser this Friday night, and bringing in one of El Paso's best known local acts to help them raise funds for the Center.

El Paso City Council looked at a proposal to triple fees on parking meters on West Franklin street and designate that street as a Baseball Park District during their regular meeting yesterday. What does that mean for you if you park downtown? It means you’ll be paying about as much to see a baseball game as you pay to see a UTEP football or basketball game.
