Candlelighter Christmas Cards Still Available

Candlelighters of the El Paso Area is the only no-cost provider in our region that serves families of children with cancer. One of the way it raises funds to do just that is through the annual sale of holiday cards, which feature artwork created by some of the cancer patients the non-profit helps, or one of his or her siblings . This year's cards were drawn by Jeanne, age 7, Erika, age 10, Amanda and Jaqueline, ages 9 and 17 - sisters of Natalia who was diagnosed with Medulo blastoma, Allen, age 5, and Demis.

You still have time to order the cards, which cost $20 and come in packages of 20, either through the Candlelighters website or by calling 544-2222. They do good work. Help them provide the emergency financial assistance families in our area need throughout the year by purchasing a box or two.
