A man wanted in a homicide case in California has turned himself in in New Mexico.

Albuquerque police were dispatched to a bus terminal where calls came in about a man there wanting to turn himself in for a murder in California two days before.

Pedro Telles-Hechavar, 50, was waiting at the bus terminal when police got there. He also told police that he wasn't taking his medication. Police were able to locate a warrant out of Bernalillio County but nothing from California. Police then did research and found a case in California with all the details that Hechavar had given.

Los Angeles police then confirmed it was the suspect they had been looking for and he was arrested and booked into jail in Albuquerque. No word on when he will be extradited.
