Jenna and Dan Haley got the heartbreaking news that little Shane had anencephaly, a birth defect that meant he would be born without part of his brain and skull, but rather than mourn, they decided to give their son a full life before he was born. While Jenna was pregnant, she and Dan took Shane to a Philadelphia Phillies game, went to top of the Empire State Building and even got a cheesesteak!

Jenna and Dan eve created a Facebook page for baby Shane and chronicled their adventures. Shane was born today at 2:25 a.m., but sadly, died a few hours later at 6 a.m. Shane's family was able to meet him and hold him, and even baptized him into the Catholic faith. Jenna was holding baby Shane when he took his last breath and died peacefully in her arms.

Jenna and Dan said "Shane spent his entire life in the arms of people that loved him unconditionally and I don't think you could ask for a more beautiful life then that. He is home now with the Lord and will forever be our little miracle!"

Our condolences for the loss of baby Shane, and prayers for the beautiful parents who gave their son the fullest life they could. What an amazing family.
