According to UTEP officials, a threat was made against the campus earlier this afternoon.  An evacuation notice went out via text to students and faculty around 2 o'clock this afternoon to evacuate the campus.

University officials held a news conference this afternoon at 3 o'clock.  According to the El Paso Times live twitter feed, the campus is still not being deemed safe.  All students and faculty are asked to get off campus.  There have been a lot of traffic problems because of the evacuation, so expect major delays in the UTEP area.

All classes today and tonight are cancelled.  UTEP is expected to return to normal class schedule tomorrow.

University officials are not saying if a bomb was found, only that the threat was made.
