75 year old Paul Strelzin died late last night at an El Paso hospital.  Paul was known as "The Mouth,"  and was known for his booming voice over the PA at sporting events as he announced games at the El Paso Diablos, the UTEP Miners, and the El Paso Buzzards.

He was a former principal at Bowie High School, and is remembered for his intense passion for education.  He was an amazing force in El Paso politics, and his radio shows on various stations, including our sister station at 600 AM, were must-hear radio.

Paul Strelzin will be missed by his family and friends, as well as local sports and politics watchers, and by the legions of fans he leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Stelz.
