Celebrate the man, and the poet who preached one love this Friday at a birthday bash remembering his life, music and his persistent spiritual quest to unite all people in peace.

This coming Thursday Bob Marley would have been 69 years old.

The Rastafarian died at the young age of 36 from a rare form of skin cancer under a toe nail that eventually spread throughout his body. Even though he was in failing health he continued to tour, perform and write music until he was too ill to continue and passed away in Miami on his way to his hometown in Jamaica.

Bob Marley was not just a musician; his music was a vessel which he used to spread his message of peace, love and togetherness, and delivered reggae music to an international audience.

This Friday you can celebrate the life of Bob Marley at a birthday bash celebration with local favorites Radio La Chusma, Fixed Idea, B Series and the Chuco Town Rockers. All proceeds will benefit the El Paso Boys & Girls Club.
