After the storm comes the sun.

Blue October's Justin Furstenfeld finishes the journey of his career with "Home," off the band's latest album of the same name.

After rehab, Furstenfeld wasn't sure he'd be able to work as a songwriter sober. It had been such a part of his life for so long, that "living in this new skin" made him uncertain of everything. Would he be able to bring the same intensity to his work? What would he be passing down to his children?

In this performance, Justin literally leaves his seat to get closer to the audience. Our cameraman struggles to keep up with him. That's the thing about Justin -- he wants you to feel what he's felt. That's his gift as a performer and as a friend. He's in a good place, and he wants to sing about it.

We were lucky to go along for the ride.
